This composite material has a heterogeneous structure which is made by pressing and sintering of tungstenpowder.

By immersion in liquid copper, the pores get infiltrated.

In the manufacturing process of tungsten copper different CU/W mix contents can be set.

This is done by selection of grain sizes of the tungsten powder and adjusting the sintering parameters.
When selecting tungsten copper, the manufacturer should be informed of the approximate application because
different manufacturing processes can affect the use of success.
Tungsten and copper combine many of their individual characteristics in this man-made material. Wolfram is hard, wear-resistant, copper has good electrical and thermal conductivity.

Characteristics:

EDM­cop­per - SHOP
